The Role of Iraqi Grammarians in Hundred Years

A workshop on “The Role of Iraqi Grammarians in Hundred Years (1921 – 2021)” was held at the Department of Arabic Language on 13 April 2022.  Researchers reviewed the biographies and oeuvres of Iraqi Grammarians from 1921 until 2021.  The four major recommendations of the workshop are listed below:

1. Writing a dictionary of Iraqi Grammarians from 1921 until 2021.

2. Writing a dictionary of Iraqi Phoneticians from 1921 until 2021.

3. Encouraging graduate students to learn about their cultural heritage.

4. Shedding light on important Grammarians and Phoneticians who didn’t get their proper due.
