Department of Quran Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education for Women emerged from the Department of Arabic Language. The first generation of graduates earned their bachelor degree in 2001. The department trains students to teach Islamic Education at high schools. Students are also encouraged to pursue their postgraduate studies and further scholarly research of Islam.
