College of Education for Women Marks National Tree Planting Day with a Seedling Planting Campaign on Campus

Al-Shattri emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting a culture of tree planting, preserving the environment, and strengthening environmental awareness among female students.

The College of Education for Women organized activities for the National Tree Planting Day as part of the National Afforestation Campaign on Thursday morning, March 12, 2026. The event was attended by the respected Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Athmar Shakir Majeed Al-Shattri, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Hashim, along with a distinguished group of department directors and unit heads.

This event was held in accordance with the directives of the Council of Ministers to designate March 12 of each year as the National Tree Planting Day, in support of environmental initiatives aimed at expanding green spaces and protecting the environment.

The activities included planting a variety of seedlings, trees, and shade plants across the college grounds, reflecting the College of Education for Women’s commitment to promoting environmental awareness and contributing to a green and sustainable university environment.
