College of Education for Women Holds Its Ninth Council Meeting and Discusses a Number of Academic and Administrative Issues
The College of Education for Women held its ninth council meeting in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Athmar Shakir Majeed Al-Shattri, along with the council members, on the morning of Tuesday, March 10, 2026. During the meeting, a number of academic and administrative matters that support the academic progress and the development of the educational environment at the college were discussed.
The council agenda included emphasizing commitment to in-person attendance in accordance with the directives of the University of Baghdad and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as stressing the attendance of faculty members and administrative staff in line with the requirements of institutional work within the college.
The council also discussed postgraduate studies, where (9) female students were granted Master’s degrees after completing all degree requirements. In addition, dates were set for (6) upcoming postgraduate thesis defenses.
The meeting also witnessed the approval of the full-time assignment of a number of Assistant Lecturers to teaching and academic duties within the college, contributing to strengthening the academic staff and supporting the educational process.
For her part, the Dean confirmed the provision of the requirements for the electronic (IQ) system in preparation for its launch and implementation during the coming week, which will contribute to developing the administrative and academic work mechanisms within the college.
