Department of Geography organized a workshop about (Water Security Challenges in Iraq), at the lecture room for graduate education, on November 23. The aim of the workshop was to give an insight on the notion of water security in the contemporary world, explain the interlink of water security with food security, understand the economic and political consequences of Turkey’s water policy, and review transboundary water treaties concerning Euphrates-Tigris water basin.
