Department of Home Economics and Lifelong Learning Unit organized a joint workshop on (Safe Food Preparation and Junk Food Avoidance). The workshop was held on October 17, at the Sewing Hall. Both Dr. Dhafer Ali Muhammad Hussein and Lect. Hallah Abdulmun’im Yassin explained food processing to maintain the nutrition value and attain a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Dhafer Ali and Mrs. Hallah Abdulmun’im asserted that junk food consumption is associated with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
