Sponsored by the Dean of the College of Education for Women Asst.Prof.Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed AL-Shatri,The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, headed by Asst.Prof. Dr. Maysoon Hamed Taher, organized the annual childhood festival, in which a number of orphanages were hosted: (Al-Elwya Flower Home for orphans), (Al-Sulaikh Buds Orphanage) and (Al-Adamiya Flower House for Orphans) on Monday morning, 12/25/2022 in Al-Mustafa Hall and the college gardens at ten o’clock in the morning. The celebration included a display of the talents of orphaned children and the recitation of poetic and national poems that sang the love of Iraq, and the celebration included strong human feelings and a beautiful interactive atmosphere sympathetic to children. The number of orphans hosted is about 100 Iraqi orphan children, aged between 5 and 15 years, and the Dean Dr. Athmar Al-Shatri provided gifts, school bags and various games for children, material assistance and providing the necessary needs for orphanages, to motivate them and raise their morale, and it is mentioned that the gifts in kind were with the contribution of the teachers of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences.
