The 15th annual conference of the Department of English Language on “Ecocriticism and Environmental Studies in Literature, Linguistics, Translation, and ELT” took place in Al-Mustafa Hall, on 11 May 2022. The natural environment underpins our lives, and for which we have paid scant recognition over the years. Yet the world has suddenly become eco-conscious. There has been an awakening awareness of how important the environment to human survival is. The conference is an interdisciplinary approach to the global ecological crisis and it aims at highlighting the values that we base our realities on and building an ecological culture through the path of language.
