Dean of the College of Education for Women Holds a Training Workshop for Kindergarten Students
On Tuesday morning, October 14, 2025, the Dean of the College of Education for Women and Director of the Center for Women’s Studies at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ithmar Shaker Majid Al-Shatri, headed a specialized training workshop for students in the Kindergarten Department, focusing on ways to develop successful kindergarten teachers and educators capable of nurturing children’s minds in a positive and constructive manner.
During the workshop, the Dean emphasized the vital role that kindergarten teachers play in laying the foundation of a person’s character during childhood, stressing the importance of effective communication skills, creativity, motivation, and instilling educational values in children in modern ways that foster positive thinking.
The workshop also addressed the mechanisms for preparing teachers professionally, psychologically, and educationally, enabling them to perform their educational mission in a manner that promotes a safe learning environment that stimulates the comprehensive growth of children.
At the end of the workshop, the dean listened to the students’ needs and suggestions for the prospects of the kindergarten department, emphasizing her keenness to support the department’s academic and educational environment.
