Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Asst. Prof. Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, and the supervision of the respected Head of the Department of Geography, Asst. Prof. Dr. Vian Ahmed Mohamed, the Department of Geography, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a training workshop tagged: ((Industrial Rain Enhancement and its Environmental Impacts)), on Tuesday, 4/2/2025 at ten in the morning, at the Graduate Studies Hall in the Department of Geography in the College of Education for Women, attended by a group of professors of the department and graduate students, and lectured by: Prof. Dr. Oras Ghani Abdel Hussein, and Prof. Dr. Samah Sabah Alwan.
The workshop aims to find the following:
1. Highlighting how to control the climate by following alternative methods to cope with drought and rainfall scarcity.
2- Using modern methods in the face of climate change.
3_ Identify industrial rain enhancement and its various environmental effects.
The workshop reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:
1- Promoting research on rain enhancement and developing its techniques.
2. Cooperation between countries to exchange experiences in this field.
