Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Asst. Prof. Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, and under the supervision of the Head of the History Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jinan Abdel Kazem Lazem, the department, in cooperation with the Scientific Affairs Unit, held the scientific workshop tagged: ((Orientation towards prevention and awareness instead of punishment)) at nine o’clock in the morning on Sunday, 25/3/2023, and at the Graduate Studies Hall in the Department of History at the College of Education for Women, and was attended by a group of college professors and lectured by: Dr. Salma Ahmed his respected gesture, and Asst. Inst. Zainab Ashraf Abdel Kamel.
The workshop aims to find out the following:
1- Teaching young people how to deal with social and psychological pressures without resorting to drugs, and providing them with tools to make sound decisions.
2. Educating families on how to monitor their children and provide them with psychological and social support, and enhancing the role of the local community in educating individuals about the importance of prevention.
The workshop reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:
1- Building a community environment that is solidarity and conscious that reduces social pressures that may push individuals to abuse.
2. Provide the knowledge and skills necessary to avoid drugs, and empower individuals to make positive decisions that affect their lives and the lives of others.
