The College of Education for Women at the University of Baghdad has achieved scientific and qualitative achievement by obtaining the first and advanced positions in the national classification of Iraqi universities for the year 2024, according to the results announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which showed the competition of (24) colleges of education at the level of Iraq from various public and private universities according to accurate criteria that included:

– Quality and program accreditation.

– Faculty members.

– International rankings of academic disciplines.

The Dean of the Faculty, Assistant Professor Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, said that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is serious about implementing plans and strategies to upgrade the academic reality of Iraqi universities and competition in light of sober national and international rankings.

She added: The results of the national classification of the quality of Iraqi universities for the year 2024 were subject to institutional performance, department performance, the rate of performance of scientific departments, the performance of humanitarian departments, the performance of university departments by specialization, and the ranking of universities.

It is worth noting that this scientific achievement is added to the series of achievements sought by the Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, and shows the great efforts made by the Deanship of the College and the Quality Assurance Division, its teaching and administrative staff, and the heads of scientific departments, and at the same time reflects the college’s commitment to its vision, mission, objectives, quality of its educational environment and its application of institutional and program accreditation standards, and enhances its position and scientific reputation as one of the most prominent and most prestigious colleges in Iraq.
