Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Prof. Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, and the supervision of the Head of the Arabic Language Department, Prof. Dr. Atheer Muhammad Shehab, the Department of Arabic Language held a training workshop tagged: ((The Iraqi Poet in the Face of Transformations)) on Wednesday, 8/1/2024 at eleven in the morning, and at the Continuing Education Hall, attended by a group of professors, employees, and students of the college, in which each lectured: Prof. Dr. Atheer Muhammad Shehab respected, and Asst. Inst. Haider Abdul Khader Maarij from the University of Thi-Qar, College of Arts
The workshop aims to find out the following:
1- Explaining the challenges faced by the Iraqi poet in light of the challenges.
2. How to address and meet these challenges.
The workshop reached a set of recommendations, including:
The Iraqi poet faces many challenges, including: social, cultural, and political challenges, as well as the challenge of identity, the challenge of language and others.
2- Interest in Arabic poetry and its issues in activities and workshops publishing, studying and criticizing
