Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Prof. Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, and the supervision of the Head of the Arabic Language Department, Prof. Dr. Atheer Muhammad Shehab, the Department of Arabic Language held the scientific workshop tagged: ((The Future of the Short Story)) on Wednesday, 15/1/2024 at eleven o’clock in the morning, at the Continuing Education Hall, attended by a group of professors, employees, and students of the faculty, in which Prof. Dr. Atheer, the respected Shehab Bath, and Eng. Asst. Inst. Rasha Zeidan Khalaf lectured.
The workshop aims to find out the following:
1- Know the concept of the short story.
2- Statement of the topics of the short story.
3- How to include interesting and entertaining events with sublime meanings in the short story
The workshop reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:
1- Developing writing skills in the art of the short story.
2- Paying attention to the contents of the short story to create an exciting atmosphere for the reader.
3- The need to circulate new ideas to extract creative experiences in writing stories
