Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Prof. Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, and the supervision of the Head of the Department of Home Economics, Prof. Alia Saad Abdel Rahman, the Department of Home Economics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a training workshop tagged with: ((The Impact of Television on Young Children)) On Sunday, 19/1/2025 at eleven o’clock in the morning, and at Ali Al-Wardi Hall in the College of Education for Women, it was attended by a group of college students, and the respected Asst. Inst. Nour Hussein Abdel Jalil lectured.
The workshop aims to find out the following:
1- Know the negative effects of watching TV on young children.
2. Explaining the differences between healthy and unhealthy visuals.
The workshop came up with a set of recommendations
1- Increasing healthy visuals in the child’s surroundings, such as color books, games, and home activities
2- Stay away from watching TV with young children
