Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Prof. Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, and the supervision of the respected Head of the Home Economics Department, Asst. Prof. Alia Saad Abdel Rahman, the Department of Home Economics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a training workshop tagged “Smart Food Sensing Technology” on Monday, 20/1/2025 at eleven o’clock in the morning, and at the Graduate Studies Hall, Home Economics Department, and was attended by a group of faculty professors, a group of graduate students, and the Head of the Economics Department lectured in it Domestic.
The workshop aims to find out the following:
1- Exploring modern technologies in the field of nutrition technology.
2- Analysis of intelligent food sensing techniques.
3- Studying the practical applications of smart sensing techniques.
4. Identify the challenges facing the application of these technologies.
The workshop came up with a set of recommendations
1. Stimulate research and development in smart technologies.
2- Collaborating with startups in the field of technology.
3. Training and awareness for workers and consumers.
4- Paying attention to environmental aspects and reducing waste
