Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Assistant Professor Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, and the supervision of the respected Head of the English Language Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wafaa Abdel Saheb, the department, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a training workshop tagged: “Interaction in the Social and Formal Environment: Developing English Language Skills in Formal and Informal Conversations”, on Sunday 12-1-2025, at the Sound Lab Hall of the English Language Department, lectured by Inst. Alaa Yassin Hassan, and Asst. Inst. Hassan Thamer Hassan.
The workshop aims to find out the following:
1- Developing English speaking skills on social and official sites.
2. Enhance linguistic understanding of formal and informal contexts.
3- Focus on interactive language applications to improve communication in academic and professional meetings and discussions.
The workshop reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:
1- Encourage the use of interactive activities to enhance language skills.
2. Organizing ongoing language practice sessions in professional contexts
