At the invitation of the National Security Advisory and in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Dean of the College of Education for Women Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, participated with the Iraqi government delegation participating in the work of the international workshop for the social and economic reintegration of returnees from displacement camps following terrorist operations for the period from 8-12-/8/2024 in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The delegation was headed by the Adviser for Strategic Affairs, Mr. Saeed Al-Jiachi, and consisted of representatives from the Office of the Adviser to the Prime Minister for Human Rights Affairs, the National Security Agency, local experts in psychological operations and international experts.
The participating Iraqi delegation discussed a number of important topics and presented a comprehensive strategic vision for the social reintegration of returnees by creating a job opportunity for them to help them provide services to their families, and the program includes mental health support, social support and decent livelihoods, as well as activities to prevent violent extremism by involving local peace mechanisms that enhance stability and community security.
