The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, held a meeting with the Supreme Standing Committee for Iraqi Academic Women. During the meeting, which was held in the presence of members of the committee, including university presidents, assistant university presidents for scientific affairs, deans of colleges and the director of the Department of Women’s Affairs, he said that women’s representation in the environment of Iraqi universities indicates that Iraqi women in institutions of higher education and scientific research deserve to perform tasks and assume responsibilities and work. The Minister of Education stressed the importance of nurturing the scientific creativity of students and embodying initiatives and events that reduce and are linked to the values of the authentic Iraqi society to face the challenges, and listened to the interventions of the women members of the Supreme Standing Committee for Iraqi Academic Women regarding their contribution to providing a positive educational environment that serves the community and achieves the goals of university institutions in Iraq.
