College of Education for Women Hold Its First Scientific Conference for Postgraduate Studies: Student Energies to Support Public Policies<\/strong><\/h2>\n

<\/h2>\n

Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of the President of University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf, the College of Education for Women, headed by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Athmar Shaker Majid Al-Shatri, organized the first scientific conference for postgraduate studies entitled: ” Investing Student Energy to Support Public Policies” on Sunday morning, 7 December 2025.<\/h2>\n

The conference opened with a recitation of verses from the Glorious Quran by student Artaj Hussein Ali, followed by a speech by the Dean of the College of Education for Women, in which she emphasized the importance of developing clear strategic plans for research, theses and dissertations in higher education, supporting public policies, achieving sustainable development goals, enhancing the outcomes of higher education in line with labour market needs, and building productive visions for the future.<\/h2>\n

The conference included a discussion session headed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Shafaq Youssef Jadoo (Head of the Arabic Language Department), the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, Prof. Anam Daoud Salloum, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. The session addressed application mechanisms, administrative and academic requirements, and steps for preparing academic research, in addition to discussing the most prominent challenges facing female students and ways to overcome them. The session concluded with a presentation by Dr. Shafaq Youssef Jadoo, on the importance of the role of the Department of Arabic Language in the university’s academic and scientific development.<\/h2>\n

The conference also presented a group of research papers by postgraduate students, and a selection of the best research papers that are in line with sustainable development goals was chosen to enhance the college’s role in supporting young research talents and encouraging them to be creative and contribute to serving the community.<\/h2>\n

This conference is part of the College of Education for Women’ efforts to enhance the quality of postgraduate studies and invest in the abilities of women students to support the state’s policies and future plans.<\/h2>\n
