Under the supervision of Mrs. Dean of the College of Education for Women, Prof. Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, and the supervision of the Head of the Department of Psychological and Educational Sciences, Dr. Ahmed Adnan Hafez, the department, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a training workshop tagged with: ((Drugs and Educational Damage to the Family and the Role of the School in Reducing Drugs))on Sunday ((12-1-2025)) at ten o’clock in the morning, and in the hall of the Department of Psychological and Educational Sciences, and was attended by a group of professors, graduate students, and employees of the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, and lectured in it Prof. Dr. Nisreen Jawad Sharqi, and Asst. Inst. Rasha Faisal Hussein, the respectable.<\/p>\n

The training workshop aims to find out the following:<\/p>\n

1- The damage of drugs to the family and an indication of their types.<\/p>\n

2- Categories of drug abuse in terms of their social status.<\/p>\n

3- The role of educational institutions in drug prevention.<\/p>\n

The workshop reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:<\/p>\n

1- Paying attention to the role of the media and its means in order to explain the serious dangers to which the addict is exposed as a result of addiction.<\/p>\n

2. Activating the role of the educational counselor in middle and preparatory schools, and introducing psychology and sociology[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
